4chon is dead most of the day until methvid when he comes back home from work decides to spam a hundred posts in a row in his schizo thread which is why the front page post rate is inflated. i'm not deciding anything here, my personal view is it's better to have existing emperical evidence, i.e., /lounge/ is evidently getting so much traffic (for at least 2 weeks, not a one-day burst) that a new /pol/ board is justified, than to pre-emptively create a ded bord because it's a classic case of the "If you build it, they will come" myth that's a common mistake in business
