Every industry tries to sell you less, expensive (and in some cases, like video games) faulty products. And sometimes they don't even sell you the PRODUCT, they just sell you a subscription to rent the product to bleed you dry, slowly.
Anything but admit people are broke and people are sick of Blackrock and Vanguard, and don't care about line go up on their GDP if they're steadily being replaced by AI, grifts, and mass migration.
I mean for fuck's sake, it was honestly both heartwarming and pathetic that Silksong, what should have been just a nice sequel to a good platformer broke the bank and sold like hotcakes recently because people wanted a product, bought it for cheap, didn't get excessive add-ons/DLC/microtransactions up the ass, and just played their game and moved on.
It ain't that deep, basically. Just stop ripping people off.
