Look up "second screen optimisation". It's something netflix came up with that's now endemic in the film industry. Basically, films and tv shows now are designed to be played in the background while a viewer stares at their cell phone, because a bunch of analytics revealed that's now most normgroids view media. The result is that every action has to be verbally telegraphed, every important plot point repeated several times, and characters and plot devices have to be very simple because otherwise the "viewers" will lose interest when they lose track of what's going on (because their face is glued to their phone the whole time). It doesn't have much to do with politics or the overton window so much as just creating background noise for normies.
It's grim.

>>106011wow that's interesting thanks for the insight. I would have guessed it has more to do with the overton window.
I have to remember that corporations actually always do what is most profitable. They don't actually have any morals.
>but then why do they go woke and lose moneyBecause of ESG goverment subsidies giving them more money when they make woke content.
