I think when you alternate between line weights and line colors so violently it is almost as if you're using a mixed media and it looks confusing and less appealing than it could. Try and keep a little more consistency, like don't just have random splotches of black separate from each other across the canvas, try and think of a logical pattern in which the inclusion of the black would make more sense to repeat, gnomesaiyan?
