In this thread, please refrain from posting about things for which you feel a rabid, overwhelming angry hate. Keep it mild.

I'm the ultimate hater but this morning I'm feeling only a mild hate for the dumbo who posted this on Facebook. Being bored by a child's story is not a good indicator of autism or ADHD or any other mental disorder.

Look at this pathetic attempt at a caricature. I've been seeing this guy's caricature pictures for a while, and usually the victims are smiling as though they have no idea they've been ripped off. In this picture you can see how disgusted one of the victims is.

I hate whoever came up with this nonsense. Painting is not a "baseline human activity."

I would be surprised if there were more than a million technically proficient visual artists in the entire world. I guess "technically proficient" is kind of a broad statement but honestly, art, music and such is not something that most people just fall into and engage with as a baseline lmoa

She's right tbh.

You don't have to be good at something to do it. You're just gatekeeping. Every kid doodles dinosaurs and stuff. Everyone creates art at some point in thier lives, even if the JEWS eventually train them out of it.

Now that I think about it, dancing and singing, which require no capital or technology to do, may be reasonably called "baseline human activities." Whether "making art" can be called a "baseline human activity" is dubious. Making art typically requires inputs which are not available at the "baseline." Painting is a great example of something that shouldn't be called a baseline human activity because it requires an amount of technology/materials that wouldn't usually be available to someone at the baseline. The persons in the screenshot would not know how to make pigments from berries, corpses, dirt. The persons in the screenshot are probably think transgender operations funded by a single payer healthcare system are a baseline basic human right. Anyways this is my way of admitting that I hadn't thought much about this before posting.

I hate my wagie job, but only mildly since I only work a couple days a week. I used to hate it brutally when I worked 6 days a week. So it goes.

Wast majority of things presented and thought "art" and "creative" is commodified derivative slop, production asset work for some commercial or political thing. Maybe Patreon smut art.

People who did academic figure drawing and finished art school have mortgages and aging parents too, they too need them X thousand $$$€€€ per month per year projected in an Excel sheet and investments that offset the inflation. They need to eat, every day.

They ultimately indirectly get some (((political party))) or (((NGO))) clients to subsidize their work for long period of time. Having edge at marketing, graphic design, photography, illustration, fashion, clothing, interior and environmental design. Limited issue photobooks that target scenes and "social issues". Stylish embossed hardcovers. Typographic and print detail work. The shelf-queen cover vinyl recordings. "Nifty" products that assert the upper middle class managerials giving asspats to border hopping criminals and fags are the intelligentsia and righteous and everyone else is "religious" and "ignorant". Your ideas are always good if they are backed by good graphic design and transgressive imagery.

There are probably way more than a million proficient visual artists in the world, like people who can draw. Drawing, 3d modeling, writing is a technical skill of media production. Drawing is very much being a human printer. Illustration work is a multi-pass asset pipeline making x amount of commodity before the deadline.

Being merely able to draw or compose music or use Adobe Illustrator does not make your ideas or worldview good or interesting. Absolute oversaturation of musicians that make generic bad poetry love songs with punchy beat. Millions of people making essentially stock vector and 3D assets and posting them on Dribbble.com. Complete oversaturation.

Freakout about AI does a great job to bring that point home.

how many times do i have to tell you that AI "art" being cheap lazy brainrotting garbage is the problem most people have

they're charging $70 for a AAA game that was made entirely by outsourced labor that used generative AI. not sure if it's the pajeet prompters or activision that's doing the trolling.
