Many years ago in my town a fast food restaurant chain bought a plot of land next to Burger King. It was a beautiful mixed forest of magnolias and also bamboo that someone had planted there long ago. One day the bulldozers showed up to destroy the forest and make room for more goyslop. They leveled everything completely flat to the ground
In one month bamboo shoots were everywhere. In six months the bamboo had completely regenerated. The evil boomers abandoned the project. It's been about 10 years since then and that bamboo forest has a bunch of nice saplings and young trees throughout it. The bamboo quite literally saved the forest
