I've had one cousin drink themselves to death and another cousin on the same side of the family (but not the same "family") is rapidly following suit. The former an older female cousin of a simple disposition and the latter a somewhat younger (mid 30s) male cousin who is an avid reader of dense literature.

Is drinking the most disgusting shoe leather whiskey until you've done irreparable damage to your vital organs a genetic predisposition or what? I've heard as much but it really seems hard to believe even as I watch it play out before my very eyes among two very different people.
