Even as a kid, I realized how bullshit it was that it was all just one huge scam to perpetuate a game series that was never going to end. That said, I still feel like if I was a trainer my team would consist of Psyduck, Oddish, Lickitung, Cubone, Sandshrew, and Dratini. It consistantly pissed me off how the games never let you start with any of the other first-stage 'mons with how many hundreds there were suppose to be in the world. Having only four attacks was also super gay.

>>54482Yeah. Magical Pokaan is a very cerebral adult show. *snicker* It was the perfect show at the perfect time for me in 2006. Pokémon on the other hand I always looked at as too much of a children's show/franchise. Even growing up when I was a kid, it felt like a goofy childish franchise.
I can't say much because I never played the game and never watched the cartoon. Just looking it up, it looks like the targeted age at some point in the franchise was 6-11 years old.
A similar franchise is Power Rangers. Now I watched the first and part of the second season. Or whenever it was Tommy went from the green ranger to the white ranger. After that, I knew it was too infantile for me to enjoy.
