I have enjoyed a bit of folk punk, it can be fun, but I am Also aware it is kinda lame self hating stuff. neofolk is like the authoritarian branch of modern dark folk and folk punk is the anarchist. neofolk is way more enjoyable tho and the angst is directed outwards where it belongs. Johnny hobo is alright, but he isn't even into anarchy anymore, the genre is dead.
