I might actually buy a 14tb hdd or somethin if I see one for cheap. Gotta do my own research there. Yeah really would have to as I would be planning for it to last like 10y or even longer really.

>>94153Sounds like a decent investment. I have 2 terabytes and I thought I would never need more than that, but I've been constantly needing to delete things to make space lately.

Was hoping the steam sale would be better today. Not seeing anything I want this year.

My cat chewed through my pc speaker cables years ago, and I spliced them back together but they've been sensitive since then. If you touch it even a little the left speaker cuts out or starts buzzing.
Was thinking about picking up a new cable for them, and maybe a quieter pc fan. I picked up a better board for my 3d printer a couple weeks ago, and the motors are virtually silent now. Makes me conscious of how loud my computer fan is.

>>94178It feels like a RNG fuckfest, but sometimes it's funny. I have no clue how to consistently win or if it's even possible to. Also, I think it goes free once a year (though it already happened this year, think in April or May). It goes on sale at least once a month too.

>>94182I had a bunch of steambux saved up from selling space engineers items and skins, so it was pretty much free to me. I've watched vids of gameplay in the past, seems like a fun game to play at work.

>>94159I have a 4tb, its really just all filled with film and video game torrents and very roughly half of it or less is my fav films I don't want to delete, with some of them in like 20gb files (usually looks quite a bit better than the really common 8gb files). I wonder if its bad optics to speak of this but yolo for now. I basically never used to seed aside from when I kept the torrents in my client just for ease of use e.g. to remind myself of my new torrents - but now I seed all my new stuff forever or indefinitely. I enjoy being nice like that. Also probably helpful for me to e.g. keep a high file size Riddick film in rotation online.
>>94180Idk why you'd care. I sleep like 2-3m from my case but I put on white noise when I sleep and the fans are basically a kind of white noise anyway. The thing that does rustle me is that I've never properly dealt with the blue light that comes from I think the ethernet cable thingo, and maybe from somewhere else. Have kept a black tshirt over it for like 14+years or whatever but I still see bits of that damn blue light. I guess I could actually put another shirt on - might do that...

>>94191>Idk why you'd careI find it really annoying. I don't like "white noise", or any noise, and especially not a rattling pc fan. It's a detriment to using the machine in my eyes.
