https://space.bilibili.com/31649618/upload/videoAs for large apartments, rents and prices don't even compare between China (outside of Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macau) and the developed Western world (exclude Japan). In the West, housing prices have skyrocketed in value since the pandemic due to several factors like central banks slashing interest rates to historic lows (causing cheaper mortgages in the short term and much more refinancing), construction disruptions (lowering the projected housing supply) and governments guaranteeing mass immigration just to name a few. China has a declining population like Japan, they've given no intention of loosening immigration policy, and the government has decided to not bail out major property developers and investors like Evergrande et al., forcing them to default, the complete opposite of what Western governments have done, hence why you often see Forbes, Economist and Financial Times articles constantly whining about a so-called "housing crisis" and "ghost towns" in China. Yeah, just as believable as the "worker shortage crisis" in the West.
Plus Chinese public transit is getting better and better, still not as good as Japan's, but their express metro lines they've designed in the past decade made it more realistic for people to commute and rent or purchase homes further away from the major cities that usually have most of the jobs. North America on the other hand has nothing in comparison, if anything they're stagnating and gradually devolving, investors and governments are doubling down on the automotive industry to handle everything and are soying out over electric vehicles (and even with that they're getting their asses handed to the Chinese BYD Company, they had to put a 100% tariff on them lmao).

>>99522>>99560Read this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_the_messengerSomeone asked about the affordability of large Chinese apartment prices. China is mostly industrial capitalist, whereas the West went back to feudalism via policies facilitating deindustrialization, financialization and neoliberalism which is why you see business incentivized towards rent-seeking and gambling. To Adam Smith, all of these policies would be an attack on our civil liberties. Right now it's unclear if the West will go through another dark ages of 1000 years of feudalism, if the CCP also devolves back into feudal policies after Xi Jinping is replaced, or if China politically collapses due to demographic problems.

>>99581>>99560Damn, you're a retard. China has been on a huge upswing lately and it's plain to see. China no longer has the same stigma it used to have. Their media is starting to take hold of an international audience, and they actually make a lot of quality goods now. I suspect that in the coming decades people will want to move to China, because the west decided they would like to commit suicide, and there are new pastures for soulless economic opportunists to migrate to.

literal Chinese cartoons, playing Chinese games and taking an interest in China now, the same way weebs took an interest in Japan in the 2000s. >>99694>Telling you the reality of the situation is cheerleading for China? You aren't telling me the reality.
