>I listened to: Weird Al Yankovich (while ripping)>>Comments:>[...]If you burn these episodes 3-at-a-time, placing the DVD Extras folder on the last disc with episodes 25 and 26, you will get 9 CDs with an average 666MB/disc. That was done on purpose.>[...]One thing I wonder, is how the hell this thing got dubbed in the first place. It's the exact opposite of Japanese animation. It is somehow both episodic and yet maintains a sense of continuity at the same time. Usually in Japanese cartoons; you have a giant overarching plot, usually things like "Catch all the Pokemon", "Defeat Naraku", "Find the Philosophers Stone", or what have you. I guess the biggest 'overarching goal' would have to be "Graduate", which does happen in an acceptably short amount of time. Yet at the same time, to the untrained eye this show would resemble all those crappy school-related shows such as "My Gym Partner's A Monkey", "The Emperors New School", and even certain new episodes of "Ed, Edd, and Eddy". But it's really not. I've sometimes joked that if Cartoon Network were to try and create a Japanified version of "My Gym Partner's A Monkey", (a la "Demashitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z") it would probably end up as "Azumanga Daioh With Monkeys" or something.>>Hrm... note to self; dont rant all over the .NFO file. No.1653

Character - Anime - Pokémon - Lana's Mother
Didn't watch any more anime, but I did watched an animated film, titled "The Bob's Burgers Movie".
Most stories are in support of a life affirming ideal. It's interesting that even the categorization of stories are done from a somewhat non-objective standpoint. Well, you can say that it's objective, but the terms have baggage. Stories which greatly show a life denying situation are called "tragedies" or "horror". (Some black comedy or drama stories are basically tragedies; also horror stories have a big overlap with tragedies and denying life.)
Most stories are life affirming because that's what most people like, and it sells. Always after the conflict there's something of a satisfying resolution. It's really just a play on a certain emotional response with catharsis. Tragedy and horror play on emotions too: fear, being disturbed, feeling sickened.
Anyways, I don't know lots about the Pokemon anime. Here's what a chatbot said:
me:
>Antagonists in the Pokémon anime?
GPT-5.6 Luna:
>Major antagonists in the Pokémon anime include:
> Team Rocket trio: Jessie, James, and Meowth—the recurring comic villains who try to steal Ash’s Pikachu.
> Giovanni: The leader of Team Rocket and one of its most powerful figures.
> Mewtwo: Initially an antagonist in Mewtwo Strikes Back, though later portrayed more sympathetically.
> Lysandre: The main villain of the Kalos arc, who seeks to “purify” the world through the Ultimate Weapon.

>Louise Belcher (a fan favorite character)Makes me think of pedophilia, history, and pornography. Timeline:
- 1800 to 1900: the virtual easily accessible world of porn is non-existent
- 1900 to 2000: porn becomes much more accessible at the end of this era
- 2000 to 2026: porn is very accessible for everyone
So does porn becoming so accessible make pedos not turn into child molesters? Currently, pedos look at drawn or real CP. That's enough for some of them, but some of them make their sick degenerate fantasies a reality. It's not enough for the latter group. The ones who think that porn is enough: if they didn't have porn, maybe they too would go to prison or jail for what they would do to IRL kids.
Makes me wonder about the future. Science can already create sex robots (now with LLMs), and maybe in the future people can go into a virtual world to play out their sexual fantasies. (Like the movie "The Matrix".) Speculating about the future here:
- 2026 to 3000: sexbots and virtual reality full-body full-senses sexual experiences are classified as porn, now there's only pedos and no child molesters; the world is a better place without such crime
- 3000 to 4000: everything becomes nothingness, the universe ends, I'm glad.
