also, I'm really fucking sick of the jump cuts being in time with the pumps of bass that every horror/thriller trailer has had for the last 13 fucking years, that and the siren-esque drone chainsaw sounding shit, absolute horseshit, the kike media complex is a totem of stagnation and repetition

Does anime count in this thread or not? I plan to watch Jujutsu kaisen, because I have not read the manga and people keep telling me to watch it. The only western media I watch is youtube videos.

>>77193I had to watch the trailer a few times to figure out what you meant by the chainsaw thing lol. But I know what you mean about the jump cuts and the bass.
Though I'm not sure I've really been on the ball when it comes to horror/thriller trailers in the past decade, which might be odd because I like thrillers a lot (not so much horror, it depends on the "sub-genre"). If a film is enough close to my fav genres I'll avoid the trailers (or watch a teeny bit) and just wait for the torrent and start watching, or even watch in the cinema. I did this with 65 (watched it in cinema) though it was... very average (nice visuals though). Sometimes I'll also download the soundtrack and listen to it before I watch the film. Might sound odd but its very cool to recognize what you've been listening to while you're in the cinema or watching it through for the firs time - and watch for how e.g. it pushes the tension, or relaxes it, and so on. I thought the sound in the first Furiosa trailer was v. v. good. I'd say there's a 50/50 chance the Hemsworth character doesn't actually say the line "the question is, do you have it in you to make it epic?" because it sounds like a good trailer bite and -possibly- not something the char will say in the actual film.
But quite a few films now I'll start watching, and give up after 10-15 mins because I'm -actually- starting value my time more. I -was- watching bits of Thanksgiving 2023 while I was eating, but it's not really kept my attention and it's not the kind of film I cbb sitting down and watching for itself

>>77271I watched the "movie" which was kind of stupid of me as it was just a spark notes version of the first season or so. I would caution against that, I feel like the show could be decent if allowed to pace itself but, fairly or not, I was given the impression it was just yet more shonen goyslop without much substance

>>77275the chainsaw noise is the droning siren-like wail that starts and stops and gradually gets faster, it's fucking awful, it started to be used right around the prometheus trailer and has been in almost every fucking action/horror movie trailer since, its fucking dumbfoundedly retarded and very amateur, I could piece together a better trailer format in my fucking sleep, though that said I stopped watching ZOG propaganda fucking years ago

Just got back from watching DUNE PART TWO at IMAX SYDNEY. WOW! What an experience! I was also high on 7 tabs of Robocough but it would've been really good without anyway.
(Took a long time to get my drug-addled ass up there, though I was partly waiting for the right seats)
I'm gonna write more later but it was really legitimately good.

Well the Dune torrent is out anyway so u niggas can decide for yourself if it's worth going to see it, from watching some bits from the torrent, but I actually recommend it, I mean if you like this genre. I'm finding it hard to think up anything that would top this in the next few years, in terms of an IMAX experience, aside from Dune THREE. I really don't think anything can get more "IMAX" than Dune, the way Villevevwatev has done it.

Dune 1 was excellent, and I say this as someone who read the first 3 books. My only two disappointments were the forced diversity and them changing jihad to crusade. Poor aesthetic decisions

>>78626You mean you haven't done either or both in 15 years? This was the first time I've used dxm in a cinema but I've been thinking about it since Top Gun: Maverick came out. I would've taken ket but I don't want to risk the very very slim chance of getting searched and a drug charge. I was also talking to some of the staff (bar, desk) and a patron but it's hard to think and respond properly and it's also kinda disrespectful lol. But I introduced myself to 5 people that day it was fun.

I never played the games and was getting it mixed up with Bioshock - an easy mix up you'd be able to see. Main char is a hot piece of ass. Really liking how stylised video-gamey it is with the ridiculous overemphasised sound effects and how some of the characters seem npc-ey and how one of the scenes looked like a quick time event or a decision event.
