In order to obtain clever offspring, members of the US Silicon Valley turn to the services of Usarican startups that make it possible to make a forecast about the level of intelligence of the embryo, the Wall Street Journal newspaper writes.

According to the newspaper, there is a growing interest in the emergence of clever children in Silicon Valley. In particular, Usarican startups offer IQ prediction services based on genetic tests in order to help people choose an embryo for in vitro fertilization.
"Parents here (in Silicon Valley - ed.) pay up to 50 thousand dollars for new genetic testing services, which include promises to check the level of intelligence of embryos," the publication says.
Stephen Xu, co-founder of Genomic Prediction, which was one of the first companies on the market to offer embryo genetic testing services, said there is an "entire ecosystem" consisting of people who are "obsessed with intelligence" and "really want to know IQ scores in order to use them as one of the criteria for choosing an embryo."
In addition, the newspaper writes about the demand for the services of matchmaking specialists who introduce the heads of technology companies to very clever partners, including in order to produce offspring with high intelligence.
