Emil Krebs (born in year 1867 – died in year 1930, he lived for 63 years) was a German polyglot. His brain was studied by scientists.
The number of languages claimed by Germany that he knew: Knowledge of about 65 languages, 40 of which he spoke fluently.
What is known: He was a diplomat and an orientalist. After his death, his brain was extracted and studied. Scientists found that his Brock's brain area (responsible for speech) was structurally more developed than in ordinary people.
How is it possible to know 40 languages fluently, in an era before the advent of computers? I can imagine how many paper dictionaries he should have, and how often he should flip through them when he comes across an unfamiliar word.
In my opinion, Germany is somewhat exaggerating the capabilities of Emil Krebs. I'm willing to believe that he can know 10 or 20 languages, I myself know two languages perfectly well, the third poorly, and I'm learning the fourth, but to know 65 languages, without help of digital software dictionaries? to know 65 languages of which 40 are fluent? In my opinion, Germany lied in order to increase Germany's prestige

>>10622The main mistake of Emil Krebs' life is that intellectual activity suppressed his sexual instinct and sexual desire, he died without giving birth to children, his unique genetic code remained in the past, was not passed on to descendants. It makes me sad.

He knew 65 languages, therefore could easily seduce girls of 65 nations who would gladly have given birth to children from such an eggheaded genius man, but did not do it. It was a tragedy.
