 No.6807

A previously unknown piece of music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart has been discovered in Leipzig, Germany, the city's library authority said.

‘A sensation in the music world: a twelve-minute piece of music from the music library of the Leipzig city library authority has been identified as a work by composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart,’ the statement said.
The piece is a ‘Serenate ex C’ from the collection of Carl Ferdinand Becker. It will be performed for the first time next Saturday at the Leipzig Opera House.
The found manuscript is believed to be a copy made around 1780, which means it is not a Mozart's hand. The work itself was probably written in the mid to late 1760s by a very young composer.

Just goes to show, even classical composers can have a hidden track or two.
