My Left leaning better half thinks we need to go doomsday prep shopping for groceries today because of Trump Tariffs.
I read two boring articles about it linked below, the first one said it's basically too soon to know what will happen, the second one said it will mostly impact prices of cars and car parts, gasoline, fresh fruits and vegetables, and alcohol. Anyways, I don't think we need to be doomsday shopping today. What do you bozos think? Is it time to buy a brand new Toyota Camree and a truckload of rice and canned soup?

>rice and canned soup
Protein and fat are the most essential nutrients for survival, those have neither.
In America the cheapest source for that would be peanuts and peanut butter, ignore the BS best by dates. And cheapest source for vitamins would be supplements e.g. multivitamins.
But there's no need to stock up that stuff, I don't see pork (loin or shoulder) or chicken which are the cheapest meats by weight getting more expensive, including carrots for your vitamin A and whatever citrus or berries is on sale for vitamin C should remain affordable too.

It's basically a 25% sales tax on everything. I don't think buying canned food will save you, unless you intend to eat it for the rest of your days.
As the saying goes, give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Invest in increasing your self sufficiency and reduce your need for money and purchasing commodities. Get some chickens. Engaging with the system beyond the absolutely necessary is a losing proposition these days.
