Fell asleep last night watching "the infiltrator." Now trying to finish it. It is awful. I looked on rotten tomatoes to confirm that it is awful but the normie scum on there gave it 70%. Everything about this movie is derivative, but not in a fun way. Brian Cranstons performance is bad but not as bad as many of the others. Unbelievable how bad this movie is. Every actor is chewing gum or fidgeting throughout the whole movie. They say their lines like they're in a highschool play and looked embarrassed to be in the movie. The lines were really badly written. Garbage

Why Movies Just Don't Feel "Real" Anymore

I watched a couple flicks with my mom when I visited her last week... nothing great though.
Joyeux Noel - not bad just kind of tells the story
Run Rabbit Run - started out kinda spooky but the what tf even happened
Eden - was alright. mom really liked it. you get to see Jude Law's penis if that is your thing.

Wes Anderson has such a snazzy flair to his movies, but he cannot help himself with the racemixing.

 No.107540

>>107528
this is sadly true.. pretty much goes for all movies now. they literally have rules for the Oscars that require racemixing for a movie to even be considered.

I haven't seen a Wes A. movie since Darjeeling Limited, which wasn't good. wait... I forgot about Moonrise Kingdom which I liked for.. obvious reasons.

>obvious reasons
Because it was a heartwarming and well directed film?

 No.107560

>>107542
yes, exactly. have you seen the homage from Dope Lemon?

 No.107561

No but I enjoyed the film.

 No.107597

watched The Monkey which I liked. fun gore. I have a slew of other horror flicks in my queue.

 No.107631

watched a few more flicks.

Griffin in Summer... you'd think I'd have liked this one more but it was dull. the short it was based on was much better and more 'shocking'. the movie was just about a gay kid and there's sadly nothing shocking about that these days.

the short here: Alex and the Handyman

Longlegs - it was creepy but most of what is going on is hidden so you really have no clue wtf is up. I watched the whole movie and didn't even realize that the bad guy was Nic Cage.

also Final Destination: Bloodlines. I hated the earlier FD movies because they are soooo fking dumb but this one I enjoyed. still dumb but better than all the previous ones.

I saw the Ballerina movie from the John Wick series. Actual dogshit. Actual. Dog. Shit.

>>107632
I rather liked Longlegs.

 No.107664

watched a movie while trapped in the hotel last night called Barron's Cove. figured it might be okay but it was quite dumb. one minute the guy is about to blowtorch a kid the next he's practically adopted him because his dad abuses him.

I do think Christian Convery is kawaii. He was also in the Monkey movie which I liked but this one sucked.

while I was at mom's home after my dad's funeral we started watching Sinners. we watched over an hour and absolutely nothing fvcking happened except a lot of dirty nigger-babble. I shut it off and we watched the new Naked Gun movie with Liam Nieson. it was dumb and not nearly as many laughs as the original ones but still better than Sinners. any of you guys watch that one? should I go back and watch the rest?

I did go back and watch the rest of Sinners just to know what the 'hype' is about. what a stupid fvcking movie. just nigger sh¡t the whole way. nothing remotely scary or entertaining once.

tonight I watched Wish Upon about a sp00ky possessed box... seems like there are a lot of movies about evil boxes. anyway this one was quite dumb and starred joey king who was a terrible child actress and somehow managed to bridge to a long career as a terrible and unattractive grown up actress. that said it was passable as a bad horror flick.

Finished seasons 1 & 2 of Solo Leveling recently. Was very good. A shameless power fantasy that's somehow both mature and realistic. Best anime I've seen since Dungeon Meshi

I have my doubts, but I will look into it at some point.

It's the most realistic depiction of a video game player character I've seen. The protagonist is the archetype we've all played countless times. I'm playing him right now in Fable

I have isekai fatigue and I've seen like two of them heh. Dungeon Meshi is an actual fantasy epic and one of the best mangas I'd read-possibly ever (not that that's saying too much, I'd only read a few. L-...LOL!), still I have a hard time believing they're remotely comparable from what I'd heard from other friends. That said, I'm not going to rag on you if you're enjoying yourself because that's the important part.

Oh, and read "the Climber" (Kokou no Hito) btw

 No.108227

Couldn't get into that. Just it being a sword art online style isekai was enough to filter me on episode 1.

https://elfquest.com/reading-room/eq-oq/ I used to read these when I was like, in Elementary school. Kind of cool that they're free to read online like this though I don't know if I'd have it in me to get in too deep with them these days heh

watched a flick sunday night called Arcadian. another Niggerless Cage movie. (his two sons were cute kid actors recently but they've aged out)
it wasn't.. bad, I kind of liked it. the monsters were pretty funny, unintentionally, I think
and it was never really explained as to how they came to be or what they wanted.

Apparently the book version of this was recently heavily redacted and censored by the jewish publishing house that "owns" it in the uk. I guess that makes this a white and redpilled film.
